Looking for 1 day Event Helpers.

Temporary/Permanent positions available. (Temp positions can choose to work for only 1 event. Perm positions can choose to work for us each time we have an event.)

Our company, TuxSeeDo, will host 1 days events(like Amazing Race) in every few months. Mostly held on Weekends. Our previous event, TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay.

Job Responsibilities:
- To help set up the event
- Event Helpers will be stationed at each activity location & assist players in capturing photos of the activities... etc
- To help our Brand Ambassadors AKA Fun Activists
- Other duties assigned during briefing

Requirements:
- Above 18 years old
- Friendly, outgoing, cheerful
- Min N/O Levels
- Able to work on weekends

Flight Experience with Mable Soe

Another fun activity discovered with TuxSeeDo.

Together with our TuxSeeDo fun activist - Holly, we made our trip down to Singapore Flyer to experience the Flight Experience, located at Singapore Flyer.

The experience was brilliant with a realistic presentation of flying the aircraft! It was my very first time sitting inside the REAL cockpit, feels life like! Absolutely an incredible experience - one I'll never forget.

Holly Jean: I Flew A Boeing 737!

Last week, fellow TuxSeeDo Fun Activist Mabel and I went for our first Flight Experience in the flight simulator.
Our instructor was Peter. He was patient and a great teacher. Their instructors are qualified pilots. The "ground staff' were so welcoming and friendly, they made our experience such an enjoyable one.
All the controls in the fully enclosed cockpit is exactly like in a Boeing 737NG. There's full functioning avionics and computers on board.
It is a little overwhelming at first... I was afraid of accidentally presing stuff I shouldn't be touching. But Peter made me feel at ease... his explanations were clear and he didn't overload us with too much instruction at one time. Basically, he made the learning experience thoroughly fun!
The high resolution screens are so realistic!!! We flew around New York, and over landmarks like the Statue of Liberty. Even Newark airport was like how it is in real life. (There's 24 000 airports you can fly to).
Within the first lesson, I've become familiar with the main controls...like how to work the flaps, thrust, rudder, landing gear and thrust reversers. I can also taxi the plane after landing.. without going onto the grass *clap**clap**clap*
For someone like me who will probably NEVER get the opportunity to fly a real plane, this is truly as good as it gets. It was super fun, a real eye opener, and landing the plane on my own did make my heart thump!
But if you're an aspiring pilot, then learning and practicing in the simulator could save you loads of money before or while you're doing your pilots liscense. But whatever your skill level, or purpose, at least you know you'll be absolutely safe!

A touching end to TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay

The pouring rain did not stop 128 fun loving Singaporean from taking part in TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay last Sat. After 4 hours of bustling fun, Powerpiggy emerged winner and proud owner of the iPad 2 3G. She finished seconds just before Terencethegreat, runner up and partner, who took helped her take the last picture at their final stop "Photo Moment@Singapore Flyer".
This came in seconds before the next submission to win Powerpiggy a brand new iPad 2.

The event was probably the largest App launch in physical distance in Singapore yet. Spanning a 5 km trail with 20 activity locations around the Marina Bay Area, including Singapore Flyer, Helix Bridge, ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay City Gallery, Merlion Park, Esplanade, and Marina Square.

In addition to the gifts and prizes, players and visitors to the Singapore Flyer were treated to close up street magic by renowned local magician Danny Koh, runner up to last year’s OMG competition. Players and guests also got the opportunity to have their hands on flying a “real” Boeing 747 at Flight Experience during this event. There was also a Fun Photo Booth photo memento for all who wanted pictures with Danny, and model cum bloggers Holly Jean, Mable Soe and Danielle Luque.

“Terencethegreat” found out about the App two weeks before the race. He started to explore the App over the next few days and introduced the App to his friend “Powerpiggy”, the subsequent winner of TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay and the iPad 2. The duo decided to take to spend the afternoon at the Marina Bay but did not expect to win the race.

Did you make any preparation before coming for the challenge?

Jamie: We downloaded the app about 2 weeks back and have just tried just a few of the tasks which were easier. I guess the only preparation we had done before coming was to make sure we dress comfortably for the challenge.

What was your biggest takeaway from TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay?

Terence: It was the first time that we had actually walked the the whole distance(And hurriedly taking photos in the rain) between Singapore Flyer to Marina Bay City Gallery. In fact, for some parts of the challenge which was in the open, i was busy covering the outputs on my iPhone to prevent rain from seeping in(Phone still under warranty..Haha!!!)
Jamie: Winning the Ipad was definently the biggest takeaway, as it has become an advance birthday present for Terence. But putting the Ipad aside, we enjoyed the scenery(amid the rain) while exploring Marina Bay as well as making new friends at the event.
Who/What contributed to you winning TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay?

Terence: Frankly speaking, it was our first time joining an event like this. I guess familarity with the Marina Bay area helped.
Jamie:  I guess the bad weather helped us too, as i think many people did not manage to do as much as they would have wanted for this challenge due to the rain.

Where would you like to see TuxSeeDo next?

Terence: No specific preference but i guess the ultimate challenge will be a TuxSeeDo Singapore Challenge, where we have to go through the whole island to complete the challenge.

Anything you would like to add regarding the event?
Jamie: Kudos to everyone at TuxSeeDo, who made the event successful. We will definently be back at the next event!

Besides Jamie, Terence and 4 other runner up players went home with a pair of Singapore Flyer tickets each.

Danny Koh at TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay Event

Saturday was really fantastic! Did you guys enjoy yourselves at the race? First of all, congratulations to Piggy for winning the ipad2. I have to say, all you racers were so amazing, considering the rain and all, but you still completed everything at such speed.



A big thanks to everyone for participating, as well as the Tuxseedo team, who made my day as well. I personally met up with many old friends and enjoyed myself tremendously. Big thank you also to all the wonderful sponsors who made this event possible and provided everyone with so much fun :)

I must say I was pretty swarmed with magic the whole afternoon! It was non stop action as I attempted to make competitors' bosses and wives disappear. Lol. Im kidding!~



I was quite happy to see many kids on the day itself. Really glad that TuxSeeDo is a great source of family fun :) There was even a birthday boy ( yea Saffire thanks for hopping by my stop).

There was however one slight challenge for me on the day though! If you notice, in some or in fact a lot of my photos, there's this two Indian kids who followed me EVERYWHERE I went to! The ultimate moment of explosive speechlessness ( what's that? Why do I always have words like that) came when I went into the washroom, turned my back around... And there that boy was!! He followed me even to the washroom! As I left, he hurriedly "packed up" as well! AMAZING. Ok boy boy I'm sending you on the next Mas Selamat kind of hunt. I know you never give up.

For some of the folks whom I have missed, I'm really sorry as I was extremely swarmed at the main event area. I hardly had time for even a washroom break! Good news though, we are in the process of fixing another guest appearance, likely at Popeye's ( because it's oh my favorite! ). So people keep a lookout on this space k? We will be updating soon :)

Mable Soe at TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay Event

TuxSeeDo had the official launch of the app last saturday @ Singapore Flyer and I was very glad to be part of the fun activities together with the players who came down to take part in the competition despite the raw drizzling rain. Love that spirit!

Once the time was up, the points were accumulated to get the winner. The grand prize for the competition was iPad2 and the lucky lady won the top prize!

Holly Jean at TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay Event

TuxSeeDo Launch Event at Marina Bay


Last Saturday was TuxSeeDo's launch event at Marina Bay. It was a huge affair with 138 players vying for the top prize of the iPad2. I was impressed with the sporting spirit displayed by all players who ran around the Marina Bay area completing the activities on their TuxSeeDo iPhone app... despite the wet weather.
The main event arena at the Singapore Flyer was abuzz with people checking out the various booths set up by the Volunteer Welfare Organisations.

And players had to make a pit stop here to complete a couple of activities at the SCOOPS ice cream booth and PictureWorks booth too.I just adore the TuxSeeDo t-shirt. It's so cute.... just like the TuxSeeDo mascot (penguin).
Danny Koh performed his magic tricks at the main arena as well as in Popeye's ! What a treat for everyone!
For the Media, there was a nice reception at O'Learys Bar....
... while all the players raced around to complete all the interesting TuxSeeDo tasks...
One of the more interesting tasks was when they had to go into the Flight Experience cockpit and take a pic with the captain! (By the way, I had my first flight experience flying lesson already !! And I will be updating you on that next week!)
At the end of the afternoon, the TuxSeeDo team tabulated the top players... and PowerPiggy won the iPad2! She completed all the activities on the TuxSeeDo App the fastest.
These are the top 5 players that day, taking their pic with Ming. What a fun day it was!
You can still download the TuxSeeDo app on your iPhone and complete the activities at Marina Bay (there are also activities in Orchard too)... it won't be a race, but you can still earn points and claim gifts from the gift store. DO IT!!

Hey peeps! Look what activites I've completed recently @ Marina Bay.
Believe me. I never knew Marina Bay has so many attractions,fun things to see and explore until I was completing the activities!!! The signature skyline..the greenery, waterfront promenade, the sparkling buildings and breath-taking scenes!
