A touching end to TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay

The pouring rain did not stop 128 fun loving Singaporean from taking part in TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay last Sat. After 4 hours of bustling fun, Powerpiggy emerged winner and proud owner of the iPad 2 3G. She finished seconds just before Terencethegreat, runner up and partner, who took helped her take the last picture at their final stop "Photo Moment@Singapore Flyer". |

The event was probably the largest App launch in physical distance in Singapore yet. Spanning a 5 km trail with 20 activity locations around the Marina Bay Area, including Singapore Flyer, Helix Bridge, ArtScience Museum, Marina Bay City Gallery, Merlion Park, Esplanade, and Marina Square.
In addition to the gifts and prizes, players and visitors to the Singapore Flyer were treated to close up street magic by renowned local magician Danny Koh, runner up to last year’s OMG competition. Players and guests also got the opportunity to have their hands on flying a “real” Boeing 747 at Flight Experience during this event. There was also a Fun Photo Booth photo memento for all who wanted pictures with Danny, and model cum bloggers Holly Jean, Mable Soe and Danielle Luque.

“Terencethegreat” found out about the App two weeks before the race. He started to explore the App over the next few days and introduced the App to his friend “Powerpiggy”, the subsequent winner of TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay and the iPad 2. The duo decided to take to spend the afternoon at the Marina Bay but did not expect to win the race.
Did you make any preparation before coming for the challenge?
Jamie: We downloaded the app about 2 weeks back and have just tried just a few of the tasks which were easier. I guess the only preparation we had done before coming was to make sure we dress comfortably for the challenge.
What was your biggest takeaway from TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay?
Terence: It was the first time that we had actually walked the the whole distance(And hurriedly taking photos in the rain) between Singapore Flyer to Marina Bay City Gallery. In fact, for some parts of the challenge which was in the open, i was busy covering the outputs on my iPhone to prevent rain from seeping in(Phone still under warranty..Haha!!!)
Jamie: Winning the Ipad was definently the biggest takeaway, as it has become an advance birthday present for Terence. But putting the Ipad aside, we enjoyed the scenery(amid the rain) while exploring Marina Bay as well as making new friends at the event.
Who/What contributed to you winning TuxSeeDo@Marina Bay?
Terence: Frankly speaking, it was our first time joining an event like this. I guess familarity with the Marina Bay area helped.
Jamie: I guess the bad weather helped us too, as i think many people did not manage to do as much as they would have wanted for this challenge due to the rain.
Where would you like to see TuxSeeDo next?
Where would you like to see TuxSeeDo next?
Terence: No specific preference but i guess the ultimate challenge will be a TuxSeeDo Singapore Challenge, where we have to go through the whole island to complete the challenge.
Anything you would like to add regarding the event?
Jamie: Kudos to everyone at TuxSeeDo, who made the event successful. We will definently be back at the next event!
Besides Jamie, Terence and 4 other runner up players went home with a pair of Singapore Flyer tickets each.
